Funny Habits
It's a funny thing. Once you have children and they grow up some of thier habits will never change. I sit here and think of some of my daughter's habits and I laugh at alot of them. Ever since my kids were little they always would drink from my glass. To this day my daughter still does it. Oh, I'm sure she does it just to tease me only she downs the glass and puts it back empty. She is forever telling me not to put her glass in the dishwasher and that is why she uses my glass. She knows it's safe. Then there is one that always amazed me while she was growing up and still does. As a child, she was rarely around her father. She never knew the things that he did. He used to lay on the floor to watch TV. His legs would be crossed kind of like the number four. She does it too. She always has and I was really taken back the first time I saw her do this as she had never seen it before. One thing that really makes me glad I am her mom is that she is forever telling me that she loves me. I know that I will not die without hearing those words come out of her mouth.
Recently a very good friend of hers got into a big arguement with her mom, step dad and sister. Major arguement here. Her parents were calling her names in front of the kids etc. Not a good thing. This lady was quite upset. I know that my daughter now knows how lucky she is. We never fight or argrue. We say what needs to be said and it is over. The same goes with my son. I was really blessed when I had my kids. There are not too many days in my life that I would trade out. I just wish she could be closer to her other side of the family. Maybe some day!
