Oh my Goodness
For several weeks we have been talking about me going back to work on a part time basis. So I had been sending out Resumes and setting up interviews. Well, I landed a part time job right off the bat. I started the job on Thursday and that day went ok. I think I learned more about the manager who runs the place than I did about the co. and my duties. I returned on Friday. It was so slow I ended up catching them up on all thier filing. That didn't bother me at all. Then it happened. Right before noon the girl that was sitting next to where I was sitting while filing pulled a flask out of her purse. I sat there and watched her an she never looked my way to see if I was watching. She proceeded to pour liquid from the flask into her coke can then put the flask back in her purse. Gee, woner what was in the flask. I must of sat there with my mouth opened. I was amazed. I didn't say anything but when hubby got home that night I told him what had happened. Friday night I did a bit of soul searching and Sat. morning I told hubby that I was going to quit. That was not the job I was looking for. I called my manager and told her I would not be returning and then proceeded to tell her what I witnessed. She said she would have to go into the office that day and not only did she lose me but would be letting the girl go as well. She said she did not notice this going on. Well the girl sits with her back to her an that's why I'm sure. I told the manager that this was a law suit waiting to happen. So I guess it's back to the grind stone and will be looking for a new job. Think I will be a little more picky this time.
